Explorer Scouting is now 5 years old, and has been a success story across the UK. It is open to male and female members aged 13 and a half up to 18. Its programme is based on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
Age:
Explorer Scouts are young people aged 14 - 18 years of age, we are the second oldest section of the Scout movement.
Our place in the Scouting Family Tree:
We are a district unit and work with all the Scout Groups within Stirling and Trossachs district
When we meet:
We meet for approximately 2 hours a week depending on the particular activities. We have one unit based in Stirling, and that has its base at Beechwood Scout Headquarters, but we do not always meet there - we like to get out and about in the area, especially with the light nights.
